Our vision for kids at Northcross is to help them make wise choices, build strong relationships and develop a deep faith.
On Sundays, our programmes for kids are guided by a curriculum that believes that two combined influences make a greater impact than just two individual influences — if the church and the home are working together in tandem, there will be greater impact on your child. Sundays at Northcross
10AM Service
We believe that kids should have a blast at church every single week, and at Northcross, we make this a priority. We have something for kids from birth through to year 10. Learn more about what we have for teens & youth HERE.
You’ll experience age-appropriate teaching, music, and fun activities. We have amazing staff and volunteers who will care for, and love your kids – like Annelli & Jess!
Your children’s safety is of utmost importance to us, so all our volunteers are police-vetted, and we have a check-in system to ensure every child is accounted for. So, if you have young kids, it would be wise to arrive 15 minutes early to get everyone checked-in and ready by 10am!
To begin with, kids join the adults in the main auditorium for singing. An announcement will be made for kids to leave to their respective areas, which will be facilitated and guided by children/youth ministry volunteers.
Créche
Ages 0 - 2
Come along to créche if your child is under the age of 3. We have a team of leaders running a class and having fun with your children while you have an opportunity as a parent to be part of the church service.
Preschool
Ages 3 - 4
Come along to preschool if your child is between 3 and 5 years old. They’ll learn all about Jesus and the Bible, and have lots of fun colouring-in, singing and playing.
During the week, we host a daytime outreach for preschoolers and their parents or caregivers, as well as a weekly gathering for mums of preschoolers.
Kids
Primary School (Years 1 - 6)
This is where your kids are going to want to be each week if they’re primary school aged (between years 1 – 6). They’ll enjoy a curriculum each week singing songs together, and hearing from parents and leaders in the wider church sharing captivating stories about Jesus. Each child becomes part of a smaller group with designated leaders, according to their age group. They will make friends, participate in fun activities, and learn about Jesus and the Bible.
Parents can opt-in to hear regularly from Annelli, our Children’s Ministry Coordinator, about the curriculum, including being part of a closed Facebook page for parents only.
